Intergenerational Mosaic Project
Hounslow Seniors Trust is reporting on the Intergenerational Mosaic Project on the theme of Peace that is funded by Inspire Hounslow. The mosaic will be created by older people and school children working together and the mosaic will be mounted on an external wall at Beavers Community Primary School. There will be an explanation plaque next to the mural.
The older and young people will work with a professional mosaic artist, Kim Porrelli, to design and make the mosaic. The sessions will include discussions on the theme of Peace and research into the topic. The mosaic making sessions will take place with members of Hounslow Seniors Trust at Isleworth Public Hall on 16th/23rd/30th October and 6th November. There will be sessions with a group of older people who meet at the Ermine Centre on the Meadows Estate and with students from Beavers Community Primary School that will take place on 5th/12th/19th and 26th November. The School has requested that we install and unveil the mosaic, hopefully with the Mayor of Hounslow and the local press present, in early January 2016.
